We’ve suggested here the elements of your service that you can have a bagpiper play for. Remember, each service is as individual as your loved one, so you can change things to suit your exact needs.

Traditional Service:

Burial: Whilst the coffin is being taken from the church to the hearse, or graveside. The bagpiper will lead the coffin from the hearse to the graveside. Then pipe at graveside for as long as needed. The bagpiper will discretely leave the graveside whilst playing, leaving the echo of pipes in the distance.

Cremation: Whilst the coffin is taken from the hearse to the crematorium. During the service, as wreaths are laid and curtain is drawn. Finish the service as your guests leave the crematorium.
